If bottled water cost $1.27 and you have the exact amount, hold on to the $.27 for your jar. Secondly, give the cashier all dollar bills instead. For example, if you have two $1 bills, purposefully make change for your jar by giving the cashier the “folding” money—creating an additional $.73. Remember the purpose of your change jar—change makes dollars therefore saving change definitely makes sense!
