Weekly Tip: The Savings Jar

Pennies. Nickels. Dimes. Quarters.  From time to time, many of us drop a few days worth of change into an old spaghetti or mayonnaise jar, or perhaps a shoe box. Regardless of the container, saving change is the focus.  However, most people do not have a specific purpose for saving their change. I purposely save change for a year—from birthday to birthday.  Last year on my birthday, I had $194.35 in change!  I turned my change into what I call “folding money” and had a ball!!! Be specific and make saving change exciting!  Vacation.  Shoes.  Handbag. Computer.  New phone.  Jewelry.  Camera.  Perfume.  When your change container is full, SPEND IT!!  You will never look at change the same way again!
